Need A Break? I Did.

I don’t know about you, but I was in dire need of a break. So, in July my husband and I snuck off to Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas. This property had been on my radar well before their opening in October 2019 and I had hoped to visit soon. Since this year has gone awry, we decided last minute to book it and knew this area was easy to get to and relatively safe, all things considered.

The property did not disappoint! Upon arrival in Cabo, the Four Seasons Liaison was there to assist us with luggage and to the house car. We took advantage of the complimentary transfers to the property, which was about an hour’s drive. The Four Seasons is new to Virtuoso and the amenities are fantastic. The round-trip transfers alone are worth it (as they are typically around $495 + tip roundtrip).
The other amenities include daily breakfast, upgrade based on availability at time of arrival, and complimentary internet. They were also offering a complimentary hair treatment at the spa as a reopening treat.

Now to the good stuff: the property is Amazing! I cannot say enough good things about it and really, this year being so crazy it was such a treat to be there. Coast Palmas development is wonderful itself. And with the addition of the Four Seasons, AMAN, and a SOHO property, this is going to be a prime spot for our luxury clients. The property has 141 rooms and every room has a view of the water, some better than others but how many properties can you tell your clients that and mean it! There really isn’t a bad room on property.
Just a tip though, they try to arrange families in the center of the property and couples on the outer areas.
The family pool is centrally located.
In addition to our suite, I toured 4 rooms. They were all beautifully decorated, spacious, and unique.
I loved the design by Guerin Glass and the interiors complement the indoor/outdoor living. At times I thought I could be in Africa or Arizona – the landscape is that unique.

The property boasts five dining options, kids for all seasons, six pools, an oasis spa with ten private treatment rooms, a large gym, lap pool, 18-hole Robert Trent Jones II golf course, a teen center, and access to numerous activities. Truly an escape that gives your clients all the options: activities, relaxation, golf, food, spa, and kids clubs!

The service is what you would anticipate from a Four Seasons, exceptional! I love great customer service and they surpassed my expectations. Every detail was meticulous and there was not a person on the property that did not welcome us by name and with a smile. Really adds to the trip, don’t you think?

A quick background, the development started about 10 years ago and is definitely going to be a playground for the rich & famous. Because I expect the rates to increase with their up & coming fame, I went ahead and re-booked us to return in November (while we can still afford it). I understand the Four Seasons has a 2-3 year exclusivity before Amanvari can open. With them barely broken ground, the word around the development is they will not open until 2023 (or later). The SOHO property has not broken ground just yet.
I say all of this to let you know that there is some construction around the development, however, it was not at all disruptive to our stay.

One thing that stands out from Cabo San Lucas is the swimmable beach, 2 miles to be exact. You walk out of your room and just a few steps later, you are in the sand. This allows for numerous water activities right on the property into the Sea of Cortez. The concierge team is amazing to work with and we took advantage of many “weekly activities” they offer on property at no charge. I wanted to get out one day, so we rented jet skis and took off from the Beach Club. It was so invigorating!

I hope you all have an opportunity to visit or send clients to this special spot, you won’t regret it. And neither will they!
