1. “I am thankful for technology. While this may sound like a meaningless thing, it’s quite the opposite. My life has flourished in so many ways because of technology. If it weren’t for technology, I never could have started the Global Institute for Travel Entrepreneurs (GIFTE) … which I started with a laptop from my home. I am in awe at the ripple effect of starting GIFTE and how it lead to starting a host agency, Gifted Travel Network (GTN). I am in awe of each member on the GIFTE and GTN teams that I get to work with every day. I am in awe of the GIFTE and GTN communities that have grown enormously. I am in awe of the deep relationships that have developed amongst GIFTE and GTN members. I am in awe of how much each GIFTE AND GTN team member makes countless positive differences each day in the lives of our members and network. I am in awe of how my family life has flourished thanks to technology and how easy it is to balance work, life, family, etc. So, yes, I am thankful for technology.”

Jen Cochrane, COO

3. “I am grateful to have an amazingly supportive husband who supports my entrepreneurial journey, two beautiful and healthy children and the cutest Japanese Chin dog you’ve ever seen that I get to bring to the office with me! I count my blessings every day for all the places I’ve been able to travel to already and feel so appreciative that my work affords me the opportunity to allow others who are just as passionate about travel to pursue a business in this industry. I am extra extra grateful for the incredible team I get to work with at GTN! Lastly, I am also grateful for coffee, sparkly shoes, video chats (to stay connected with my family in Canada), wine and my good friends!”

Vanessa McGovern, CEO

4. “I’m thankful for the opportunity to help so many brand new travel professionals find their way in the best industry in the world through mentorship in the TravelMBA program. I’m also grateful for the unconditional love from my dog, the fact that the University of GA is having a great football season and for cornbread & sausage stuffing!”

Lisa Fletcher, Director of Education and Training

5. “This year I have so many things to be thankful for. I’m thankful that on Thanksgiving when we gather around the table there will be four generations of my family there from my mom to my grandsons. Beside me will be my wonderful husband who is so supportive of me and all my endeavors (especially if it involves travel he can participate in!). I am so lucky to have such a great champion who shares my life’s journey. Of course, there are family members who won’t be around the table in person, but they will be with us in spirit and in memory. And this year I have a new family to be thankful for: My GTN & GIFTE family. I am so happy and honored to be a part of this wonderful community. I hope each of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!”

Sandy Saburn, Director of Sales

6. “I’m thankful for a husband (which is still weird to say) who can burp louder than I can, keeps me laughing, and lets me be me. I’m thankful for weekly skype dates with my godson, for a Rockstar of a family who has shown me that life is all about the journey – enjoy every minute and to love & laugh along the way. I’m thankful for my GTN & GIFTE family who continues to encourage one another & who keep the ‘work day’ entertaining. I’m grateful for the little things in life like coffee, playgrounds, books, bike rides, wine, & Swedish fish that show you just how beautiful life can be.”

Sarah Reedy, Client Care & Operations Manager

9. “I am thankful for my wonderful hubby (broken leg and all), my two girls and our Yorkie Ace (when he’s not peeing on the carpet!). I’m also extremely grateful for my GIFTE and GTN family. What an amazing team to be a part of! I am looking forward to spending the long weekend with my family laughing, eating too much and watching cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies (my husband’s fave!).”

Shaneka Cooper, Financial Accounts Manager

10. “I am most thankful this year for opportunities. I was given this amazing opportunity to work for GIFTE and GTN, in an environment where I can grow and use my creative skills in a way that fills me joy, right beside the best group of women to work with. The opportunity to work with this amazing company has also allowed my active children to pursue all of the opportunities that they are passionate about. I’m feeling very thankful and optimistic for this coming year.”
