What to do right now to have a successful travel business in 2022

Ready for 2022? I imagine many of you said, YES! While 2021 hasn’t turned out to be the wonderful utopia we all hoped for, I think everyone is hopeful 2022 will be a better year altogether.

To help you get ready, I am sharing a checklist of items to do in the fourth quarter to prepare for 2022. Some of these are quick and easy tasks and some will take longer. Spending some time on these tasks now will reap benefits in 2022.

Generally, the fourth quarter is a good time to focus on what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what you want to be different in the new year. If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’ll keep getting what you’ve been getting. If you want different results, you have to change things up.

Here’s a tip to get the most out of this analysis and strategic planning: work with an accountability partner. You can share ideas, give one another feedback, and help keep each other accountable to commitments or deadlines. If you don’t currently have an accountability partner, just ask another agent to work with you. If no one comes to mind immediately, there are probably lots of agents in the various communities you are in who would be happy to work with you (after all, it benefits them too!).

Enjoy getting ready for a new year and new opportunities!
