As we carry forward the momentum of inspiration and motivation, we are eager to delve deeper into the topic that fuels the entrepreneurial spirit. Today, we pose a question to you: What is your dream for your travel business?

Maybe you dont know? Or haven't thought about it that much. Thats ok. We are here to help! First take a moment and close your eyes. Imagine yourself a few years in the future. You are happy, loving life and have the business of your dreams. So what does life look like? What is it that makes you so happy? What do you want in your personal life, relationships and work? Who are you working with and what are you doing?

Now that you have had a chance to answer some of the questions above, let's get clear about this dream and what you and your business really could look like. Was your dream to live and work from a beach in the Caribbean? You can do that! Or maybe it was to turn your passion for health and wellness travel into a profitable business? Well you can make that happen! Was it to work 20 hours a week and still make a decent living? You can do that. Maybe it was that you only work on the travel part of your business and someone else does the “boring” stuff. That can happen too. You are an entrepreneur and you determine what that business looks like. However, if you are finding yourself buying into limiting beliefs, this will certainly hold you back and you won’t be able to achieve your goals.

At Gifted Travel Network our mission is to help people build a business and life they love around their passion for travel. It’s the entire reason our Travel MBA program exists – to ensure people build a successful business (profitable, fun, and rewarding) by establishing a strong foundation from the beginning. Yet we see so many people in the travel industry not enjoying themselves because they are afraid to go for what they want. They have bought into a myth about the travel industry that’s not true.

For some that myth is: You have to work a lot of hours to make money. Not true.

For others, it is: You can’t make a decent living in travel. Also not true.

One of the first and most important steps is to surround yourself with positive people who love what they do. Let’s be clear: loving what you do doesn’t mean you never have an “off” day. It means that at your core you love your career. You know there are peaks and valleys, but you don’t let the valley keep you from believing there will be a peak again. If you are surrounded by people who are doom and gloom, you will become doom and gloom. Finding a tribe that can support the dream you have for your future is a critical step in achieving it. It doesn’t mean that they are doing it for you, but they are cheering you on every step of the way.
